'So Close - So Niue'

Step off the flight into the warmth of Niue, and let the magic begin.
GETTING HERE

In addition to the regular weekly flight that leaves Auckland Saturday morning and arrives Niue Friday afternoon, from 16 April 2013 until the end of October 2013 a fortnightly mid-week flight leaves Auckland on Wednesday morning.

Flight Schedule: LINK TO AIR NZ
Only a short 3 hrs 20 from Auckland, you arrive on Niue before you leave, and that's all to do with the international date line.

You need to make your flight and accommodation arrangements in tandem. We will pencil in a house booking to give you the time to book your seats with Air New Zealand. Back this up with your choice of on land transport and you have your travel, beds and land transport all in place.

TRANSPORT AROUND NIUE
The circle road around Niue is approx 65 kilometres long and is mostly sealed. The main routes between Alofi and surrounding villages are also sealed.
The island is also cris-crossed with unsealed bush tracks to explore by bike, 4WD or on foot.

We recommend you hire a vehicle for the duration of your stay and this can be arranged before you travel. Operators provide airport pickup-drop off, which gives you the ultimate flexibility. Most operators offer a weekly rate.  Check with your rental firm about on-island vehicle insurance cover.

Transport choices include vans, cars, 4WD, motor bikes or mountain bikes. There's something for everyone. Fit and keen cyclists may find pedal power sufficient and supplement this with the occasional day car hire. Motor bikes are great for exploring bush tracks and many people find they work out well for their holiday transport.

Taxi services are limited.

ON ISLAND SERVICES
We ensure you are welcomed on arrival and get safely to your holiday home and settle in. Once settled you can phone or call in if there is information or assistance you need. Local knowledge certainly helps to get the most from your holiday. Many an interesting chat we have had about the island lifestyle.
